Although the hope is always learning from what works in the field of procurement, and using those lessons learned to improve operations, sometimes the learning can come from the opposite end of the spectrum.
It is important to keep in mind that ethics and integrity are not flexible, and can not be waived in the hope of expediting a procurement. The Navy’s “Fat Leonard” scandal continues to ensnare more and more personnel, and does not seem to be done anytime soon.
